About

As the University of Maryland’s chief academic officer, the Provost steers the university’s academic enterprise in accordance with its mission, and manages a diverse portfolio, including providing strategic direction for its 12 schools and colleges.

Campus leadership is closely monitoring the weather forecast for this weekend, tracking meteorological models as conditions develop. We have adjusted our Residence Hall move-in schedule this weekend and have urged all students to return before Sunday.

Fewer than 300 institutions nationwide hold this designation, and we are proud to be among this select group.
