The Office of International Affairs
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) reimagines global learning at home and abroad, helps take on global grand challenges, invests in global communities and people, and advances the global common good through public partnerships. OIA achieves this by elevating the international character of the university through facilitating international partnerships, events and opportunities for our network, and championing all Maryland Global partners in their endeavors for interdisciplinary research and global learning for all.
The Education Abroad Office provides students with credit-bearing and culturally-immersive study abroad programs that complement the curricula of university academic units, while also developing our students’ intercultural and problem-solving skills to make them effective citizens, professionals and human beings.
The Global Learning Initiatives team guides academic units as they advance Global Learning for All and integrate global learning modalities into their curricula.
International Student & Scholar Services
International Student & Scholar Services assists with the global mobility of foreign students, researchers and faculty by obtaining and maintaining immigration status, providing support for cultural adjustment and community integration.
