RecWell Access for Faculty and Staff

May 08, 2025

Students at the Eppley Recreation Center Information Desk

Dear Colleagues,

In recognition of the importance of mental health and overall well-being, the University Recreation & Wellness (RecWell) team is pleased to share a special two-week free membership initiative for our UMD faculty and staff.

From May 25 to June 8, all faculty and staff will have free access to campus recreational facilities, including:

  • cardio fitness areas;
  • weight rooms;
  • indoor and outdoor pools; and,
  • group fitness classes like yoga, Bodypump, cycling, and more.

This free membership is an opportunity to take time for yourself after a busy semester, recharge, unplug, and explore resources that support a healthy work-life harmony. Whether it's a walk on the treadmill, a swim, or a yoga class, we encourage you to use this time to focus on your well-being.

And, as an added bonus, the Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is extending free parking for faculty and staff permit holders in Lot 2 during this two-week period.

Mark your calendars for May 25 through June 8, and join us to take advantage of this unique opportunity!

Let's continue to prioritize the success of our work and the health of the people who make it all possible.

Visit the University Recreation & Wellness website for information on facilities and hours.

We look forward to seeing you there,

Sincerely,

Patty Perillo
