Colleagues,
We write to share the good news that Dylan Baker, Associate Vice President for Finance & Personnel in the Division of Academic Affairs, has taken on the additional role of Deputy CFO in support of the university’s overall financial operations.
In his current role as AVP, Dylan provides financial leadership in the areas of resource stewardship, enrollment management, strategic planning and academic investment as well as human resource leadership to the Division of Academic Affairs. In his additional role as Deputy CFO, Dylan will work with stakeholders across campus to develop resource utilization recommendations and actionable financial reporting tools for the university. He will also support campus-wide budgeting and finance efforts, the fortification of financial system infrastructure, resource allocation decision making and capital planning.
Since his time in Academic Affairs, Dylan has shown exceptional leadership and vision in the areas of finance and personnel, not only for the division, but for the entire university. Dylan played an integral role in the development of sustainable campus-wide resource allocation deployment, the creation of advanced financial reporting to measure our progress against the University System of Maryland and state fiscal targets, and the implementation of the campus’ new Adaptive Planning budgeting tool.
Please join us in congratulating Dylan on this new expanded role.
Sincerely,
Jennifer King Rice
