Best U.S. News Ranking in UMD History

We are thrilled to announce that the University of Maryland has once again been named one of the top 20 public universities in the nation, climbing to No. 16 in U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges rankings. We have also achieved our highest-ever overall ranking at No. 42, a remarkable rise of more than 22 spots since 2020.

New investments in mental health and well-being

We are pleased to share a new online resource for our undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and parents and families. The new mental health website is a collection of mental health and well-being resources available to our community on a variety of topics, including crisis support, counseling, academics, wellness and connection.
