# Updates to the Spring 2026 Academic Calendar

> Sent to all University of Maryland students on January 30, 2026Please see these important updates from the Office of the Registrar regarding the Schedule Adjustment period (drop/add), refund deadlines for course withdrawal, and the Mandatory Waitlist Check-In, which have been extended.

I am pleased to announce that the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) has updated the Spring 2026 academic calendar in recognition of the disruptions caused by the campus closure.

Most notably, our **Schedule Adjustment period (drop/add), refund deadlines for course withdrawal, and Mandatory Waitlist Check-In have been extended.**

Please note that while registration deadlines in the first part of spring semester have shifted, **scheduled breaks and Commencement dates remain unchanged.**
